This is the stage before beginning Ngondro (the preliminary practices). It is a group for becoming familiar with the sutras and preparing for meditation, and anyone who has registered as a member may join. This is a room for those who take up practice such as meditation (single sessions are also welcome). The retreats and the stages of practice will be laid out here in order.

Monthly Gathering

Would you like to gather with us once a month on Zoom? As a place of learning, we hope to spend time together with brief explanations of books, sutras, and mantras, reading sutras aloud, and trying meditation. We hope it will be an enjoyable chance to learn. Please feel free to join us. Taking part is entirely up to you. For details, please see Monthly Gathering.

Dates and themes will be announced in the event calendar on the Members' Page.

About the Sangha Group (Study Class)

We welcome anyone who has registered as a member into the Sangha Group (Study Class). Our activities are, in principle, non-profit, so apart from actual costs there is no special fee. Even if you have never had any contact with Buddhism, you are of course welcome. In the Sangha Group (Study Class), we learn the basics of Buddhism together, such as sutras and mantras. It is a way of first learning the basics of the sutras and mantras used in the Ngondro (preliminary practices) group. If you would like to go on to the Ngondro group, we recommend joining the Sangha Group (Study Class) first (this is not required). Please feel free to join.

The Sangha LINE Group

If you wish to practice, please tick "Consultation on step-by-step practice" in "Applications and Consultations" and send the form. After the Center has confirmed your application, we will send you an invitation to the Sangha LINE group (fellow practitioners who learn and practice together). Announcements of practice opportunities and consultations are handled in this group.

The Path of the Course

Whether you have experience or are just beginning, this Sangha Group (Study Class) is a room where you can grow used to the world of Buddhism little by little. We are preparing the group so that, next year, those who wish can study Ngondro (the preliminary practices) with Chung Tulku Rinpoche. There is a great deal to learn in the Ngondro group, so we recommend joining this group first.

The course for this room is being prepared.

The Eight Auspicious Symbols (Used in Chanting the Sutras)

These are the Eight Auspicious Symbols, used when we chant the sutras together. We use them at the Monthly Gathering. The video plays only the part with the Eight Auspicious Symbols (from 0:13 to 2:04).

You can watch the whole video on YouTube. (Source: TRULKU Talks #5 – Chung Trulku Rinpoche / Studio IOX)

How to Move Forward

When you finish one step, we will arrange for you to move on to the next. Once you do, a new room opens.
